  • Startup must not have previously received Vercel for Startups credits.

What are Vercel Credits?

Vercel offers Startups an enterprise grade contract with Flexible Commitment Amount up to $30,000 that can be used toward your Vercel usage, including seats, data transfer, compute, AI Gateway, v0 and more.

While this contract is active, your account runs on Vercel's Enterprise Terms & Conditions, giving you Enterprise-tier access for a year, or until you use up the allocated Flexible Commitment Amount. The Flexible Commitment Amount is issued to the team ID you applied within 5-7 business days from the point your team accepts these terms via email. The Flexible Commitment Amount can be used across Vercel products at your discretion. Unused Flexible Commitment Amounts on the one year anniversary of being granted do not roll over. If your team consumes the Flexible Commitment Amount before the one year anniversary, you will be invited to speak to a startups team advocate about extending your contract or switching to a Pro plan.

Note: You may only use up to 50% of your Flexible Commitment Amount towards Vercel AI Gateway usage.

Do Vercel Credits apply to v0?

Yes. v0 is included as one of the applicable services under your Flexible Commitment. The Flexible Commitment Amount can be applied to v0 usage alongside Eve, Workflows, Sandboxes, AI Gateway, and the rest of the platform.

Outside of Vercel Credits, what other benefits do I receive as part of Vercel for Startups?

  • Access to Vercel Team via Slack.
  • Exclusive educational and networking opportunities with industry experts.
  • Private Vercel for Startups events including demo days, hackathons, and other events aimed at helping you get product feedback, develop partnerships, and more.
  • Opportunities for featured marketing by Vercel and Vercel’s leaders on social media.
  • Exclusive Vercel for Startups swag.

How long do I have access to the Vercel for Startups benefits?

Up to one calendar year from when your Flexible Commitment Amount is applied. This covers your Flexible Commitment Amount, Enterprise-tier access, and other program benefits. At the end of your one year period, or if you use up your full commitment amount sooner, your account automatically moves from Vercel's Enterprise Terms to our standard Terms of Service, and you're billed monthly at Vercel’s standard list rates from that point forward for the services you are consuming. Please note that once your benefits have been activated, they cannot be postponed to a later date.

How do I apply for Vercel for Startups?

To apply for Vercel for Startups, visit vercel.com/startups/credits and fill out the application form. You'll need to provide your email, select or create a Vercel team, choose your startup partner, and upload proof of partnership. Our team will review your application and get back to you within 5-7 days. If approved, you'll be prompted to review and accept the Flexible Commitment for Startups Terms, at which point your credits and Enterprise access go live within 5-7 business days.

Why does Vercel ask me to select a team?
The contract is applied to a single team and not an individual's account. Once the contract has been signed, it cannot be transferred to a different team.
What does up to $30,000 in credits mean?
The Flexible Commitment Amount depends on the arrangement between Vercel and your Startup Partner and may vary between partners, up to a maximum of $30,000. You will get access to the Flexible Commitment Amount once you accept the program terms, and it can be used across all Applicable Services during your one-year commitment period.
When will my credits be applied?

Once your application is approved and you accept the Flexible Commitment for Startups Terms, the contract takes effect immediately. The contract cannot be used retroactively to previously paid invoices, and is not applied to mid-cycle invoices for add-on purchases.

A maximum of 50% of each month's credit amount can be applied to Vercel AI Gateway usage. If your AI Gateway Fees for the month exceed that 50% sub-limit, the excess is billed at standard rates rather than covered by credits—even if you have unused credit remaining elsewhere.

Issuance of credits is at Vercel's sole discretion, and Vercel reserves the right to revoke credits at any time for any reason, including abuse violations.

What if I am not associated with a Vercel for Startups Partner?

The Vercel for Startups program is an exclusive offer to companies backed by our Startup Partners. If you don’t see your partner listed here, please reach out to your VC to submit a partner request form on vercel.com/startups/partners.

Why is a payment method required if I have credits?

A payment method is required for all customers on this program, since fees beyond your Flexible Commitment Amount, or Fees incurred after your commitment period ends, are billed to that payment method. As a reminder, you can limit how much you spend on Vercel.

Where can I view my credits?

To view current bill:

  • Navigate to your Team's Dashboard in Vercel
  • Select "Settings"
  • Select "Billing"

You should see an active Enterprise plan which has the proper dollar amount allocated to your startup’s team ID through the Flexible Commitment balance.

What happens if I use up all my credits before the year is up?

If your Fees for Applicable Services exceed your Flexible Commitment Amount before your one-year period ends, your account automatically moves off Vercel's Enterprise Terms and onto our standard Terms of Service. From that point forward, you're billed monthly at standard list rates for the services listed at vercel.com/docs/pricing/flex-commit.

Is there a limit on how much of my credit I can use on the AI Gateway?
Yes. This is a term of the program, not partner-specific. Up to 50% of your total dollars allocated amount can go toward AI Gateway Fees. If your Gateway usage for the month exceeds that 50% cap, the overage is billed normally, even if you still have unused credit available for other products.
